Privacy Policy
Plain-language version: we collect what you send us, we use it to build and run your systems, and we don't sell it.
Draft — pending legal review.
What this covers
This policy explains how LocalFoundry handles information collected through our website, our onboarding interview, our customer portal, and the systems we build and manage for our customers.
It applies to prospects who contact us, customers who purchase a system, and visitors to this site.
Information you give us
Contact and business details: your name, business name, email address, phone number, service area and industry.
Onboarding interview answers: what you tell us about your services, customers, operations, goals and brand during the interview that precedes a build.
Uploaded assets: logos, photos, documents and other files you provide so we can manufacture your website and systems.
Portal messages: the messages you exchange with us inside your account.
Payment information: card and billing details are collected and stored by our payment processor. We receive only the limited records we need to issue and reconcile invoices — we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
Usage and activity data: pages viewed, actions taken in your account, timestamps, referring source, device type and approximate location derived from IP address.
Analytics: aggregated statistics used to understand how the site and portal are used and to improve them.
Information generated by AI
We use AI to produce insights, summaries and recommendations about your business — for example where your business appears to be losing opportunity, or what to prioritize next. These outputs are derived from the information described above and are stored with your account record.
AI outputs are assistive. They are reviewed by a person before they drive any material recommendation or change to your systems.
How we use information
To respond to inquiries, scope work and prepare proposals.
To build, launch, operate, support and improve the systems we deliver to you.
To communicate with you about your account, your build, billing and service changes.
To generate the insights and recommendations described above.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
AI processing
Information is sent to our AI provider only to generate output for your own account. We do not use customer data to train models, and we do not use one customer's data to produce output for another customer.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers required to run our business, and only so they can perform work on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor, a domain registrar when you ask us to register or manage a domain, our AI provider, and a communications provider where messaging, email or calling is part of your system.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other customers. We do not permit our providers to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, and then for the grace period described in our cancellation policy so that you can export your content.
After that period we delete or anonymize your information, except records we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting purposes.
Your rights
You may request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or request an export of your content in a usable format. Contact us using the details below and we will act on the request promptly.
Security
Everything we host is served over HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to do their work, records are separated per account at the database level, and credentials to third-party services are held in managed secret storage.
No system is perfectly secure, but we treat customer data as data we are borrowing, not data we own.
Your own customers' data
If you use the CRM, booking, messaging or lead-capture tools we build for you, you will collect information about your own customers. That data belongs to you, and you are responsible for how you collect and use it — including providing your own privacy notice and honoring your customers' requests.
We process that data only to operate and support the systems we've built for you, and never for our own marketing.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to serve the site, keep you signed in, and record anonymous analytics. You can block cookies in your browser; you will still be able to browse the public site, though you will not be able to stay signed in to your account.
Children's privacy
Our services are built for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. When we make a material change we will update the date on this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders directly.
